English Brass Nutcrackers

Marks :    'ENGLAND' or 'Peerage England'

A fairly common direct lever 'table-top' brass nutcracker with a small platform and two nut cavities which was made by Pearson Page in Birmingham from the early twentieth century. It was probably produced as a basic 'blank' and then customised by, or for the retailer and was sometimes sold with a matching bottle opener. Many different figures and designs can be found.
