This site exists to share information on nutcrackers as antiques and collectables and to provide some sort of basic reference point; if you have an unusual or unique nutcracker (for which you can provide a reliable description, date and picture) please email me and I will add it to the site.
I concentrate on older (earlier than 1950) nutcrackers and only on those that can be considered practical - this means that purely decorative models such as German Soldier types are excluded. You will find more figural than non-figural examples here and the basic premise is 'the older and more unique the better'.
I would appreciate and will reply to any constructive comments you have on the content or structure of this site.
